Hasselblad Mirrorless Medium Format X1D
Hasselblad has just announced the new Mirrorless Medium Format X1D to it's line-up, this could possibly be the biggest news of 2016 when it comes to technology releases. Weighing in at 725 grams if you had a cool $9000 USD this looks like one awesome machine.

Sporting a 50 Megapixel Cmos Medium format sensor, 3.0 inch TFT type, 24 bit colour 920K pixels Touch screen. This camera was designed for special Hasselblad XCD lenses with integral lens shutter. The X1D still supports contrast Detection autofocus, lacking the faster phase detect. As this camera is designed for a certain purpose it's not your everyday camera that can be used for every occasion with only 1.7- 2.3 frames per second. HD1080 recording is the maximum video output for this first gen X1D.

It's good to see a mirrorless Medium Format camera hitting the market, with a lot of resentment from DSLR users against the new mirrorless designs. Although the medium format isn't something I use, nor probably ever will, I think the mirrorless market working towards newer technology whether it's medium format, 35mm full frame or APSC is a change for the better Hopefully we'll see other major brands with 35mm full frame mirrorless camera's stepping up in the near future.
