Godox AD600 Battery Strobe

With 600w/s of power the AD600 is an awesome battery strobe offering 500 full power flashes for one full battery charge, a pretty good weight / portability to battery life compromise. Godox is offering two different versions, a TTL version & Non TTL version, the latter being a couple hundred dollars cheaper.

As with all new Godox models the AD600 has a built in 2.4Ghz wireless receiver that can be triggered by the X1 series transmitters or by any other godox 2.4Ghz speedlite. Both the AD600 & X1 trigger systems are second curtain sync compatible. If you're still using the ft-16 triggering system there is a port to plug the receiver.

Mounting options are covered for exisiting strobe users that carry modifiers to suit Bowen mounts with a special AD600B standard bowens mount front plate. If you did opt for the godox mount version you can still purchase a separate adapter to mount bowens mount modifiers.

This breaks into

AD600 - TTL godox mount

AD600m - manual godox mount

AD600B- TTL bowens mount

AD600BM - manual bowens mount

As you would expect the high powered battery strobe could be on the heavy side to some users, at 2.9kg holding this in awkward positions may become tiresome, the optional 600w or 1200w flash head extender costs around $130 AUD and significantly reduces weight. As the flash head is 1200w, two AD600's can power one head.

This is the perfect option for those dusk or dawn shoots enabling high shutter speeds reducing ambient light, properly exposing both subject and sky for an extremely competitive price.

Manual Non TTL versions are currently between $600 - $700 AUD

Full TTL versions are available from $850-$950 AUD

prices will vary depending on point of sale
