Godox 2.4Ghz Wireless Speedlite
Godox has many new sony compatible TTL - HSS wireless flashes and strobes available, so if you didn't want to spend $450 on a sony HVL-F60M, Godox has you covered.
I will primarily cover wireless Speedlites and leave the Witstro range of bare bulb flashes for the strobe section, so if you're looking for them, click here.
Currently there are three models compatible with sony's HSS / TTL / HS -
HSS (High Speed Sync) - A series of high speed flashes syncing with the Image Sensor curtain - More Here
TTL (Through the Lens) - a series of flashes and pre-flashes sent out and returned through the lens to internal metering that determines what strength flash is needed to properly expose All of this happens before the actual photo is taken) more on this here.
Hyper-sync - the flash fires just before the shutter opens and stays lit until the shutter closes, it requires a longer flash duration but works exceptionally well, especially to use full 1/1 power at higher shutter speeds.
More on that here
-TT600s HSS but NO TTL
-TT685s HSS and TTL
-V860II HSS /TTL and Li-on battery included.
You can expect an average of 230 full power flashes using 4 x 2500mA Ni-MH batteries like these.
Depending on your situation flash recycle times can vary from 0.1-2.6s, the latter being full power flashes which carry a guide number of GN60, this is calculated at 1/1 output @200mm zoom.
Any of godox's flashes / strobes with the built in 2.4Ghz wireless transmitter (rated to 100m) can be used to trigger other 2.4Ghz godox flashes and strobes, like the Witstro AD360ii, AD400 or AD600. To keep your camera light for off camera flash work, the optional x1t-s transmitter is a snug fit to control multiple flashes and strobes to suit your needs.
