Samyang Announces Two Native E-mount Lenses

On May 3rd, 2016 in Seoul, South Korea, Samyang announced the realese of two full frame native e-mount Auto-focus lenses the 14mm f/2.8 FE and 50mm f/1.4 FE. These will be the first Auto focus lenses in Samyangs 40 years in the business. Combining the wealth of knowledge already in Samyangs manual focus primes. These two new autofocus lenses from Samyang Optics will be exhibited at the Photo & Imaging 2016 Show in Seoul, South Korea. The lenses will be globally available from July 2016. Further details, pricing and availability will follow.

Could this be the step forward we have been waiting for with Native E-mount auto-focusing lenses that don't break the budget, Or will the pricing reflect high end glass. I think we will see the lenses somewhere between $500-$600 AUD.

Manual lenses for me personally are part of the reason I switched to Sony's mirror less line up, the full frame line up to be more specific, Using old 35mm lenses I never thought i'd own, let alone love to shoot. Yet having nice fast AF lenses in the kit is also something I look for. With the G master range of lenses are out of my price range, The samyangs could earn a special spot in my kit and probably many others if the image quality is on par with their manual focus primes.
