SMDV BRiHT 360 Studio Strobe

SMDV have announced coming in may 2016 a new battery powered studio strobe which incorporates portability yet a powerful 360w/s HSS TTL GN 72 rated output. It will be interesting to see SMDV's pricing on this product with many worthy competitors in the portable strobe market at nearly half the price of srobe leaders like Elinchrom and phottix. Let's hope more competitive pricing is on its way.

Although SMDV haven't released an update with Sony user's in mind we can only hope in the near future this will be addressed.

Portability is a deciding factor that many photographers look at with field locations constantly changing for Weddings, corporate events, photo journalism, modelling shoots and many other services. Coming in at 1kg the BRiHT 360 is an extremely portable option while still retaining important flash power.

While one battery will allow 300 full power flashes per charge, the 14.4v 2500mAh batteries have given the BRiHT 360 the added portability feature more so then extra flashes per charge.

I don't Believe the BRiHT 360 is capable of second curtain sync even with the Flash wave 4 Wireless transmitter. Although the Flash wave 4 transmitter can control the Godox Witstro AD180 and AD360.
